Air Con + Refrigeration Units Requiring Decommissioning
BM TEMPERATURE CONTROL specialises in the removal of old/existing air conditioning and Refrigeration equipment.
It is essential that this work is carried out by a qualified and experienced engineers to guarantee recovery and Safe Disposal of used Refrigerant to standard regulations (SEPA) Environment
We reclaim refrigerant from old air conditioning and refrigeration equipment that is due to be removed or decommissioned, preventing them from harming our environment due to ozone depletion and global warming.
Our environment is our most precious asset. Even today, refrigerants that can cause ozone depletion are still in use in older refrigeration equipment. Even the newer refrigerants cause damage to the environment by adding to the global warming effect. This is why it is important to recover refrigerants from systems that are due to be removed, and send the refrigerant for correct and safe destruction.
We offer a complete refrigerant recovery service which ensures that the gas is recovered safely and without loss to the atmosphere. All our engineers are trained in the correct handling and safe use of refrigerants and have current refrigerant safe handling certification.
BM TEMPERATURE CONTROL are fully qualified with F-gas registration for the disposal of Refrigerant Gases.
Certification Level: Full Certification
Fluorinated greenhouse gases (F gases) are powerful greenhouse gases that contribute to global warming if released into the atmosphere. Their effect can be much greater than carbon dioxide. Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), Perfluorocarbons (PFCs) and Sulphur Hexafluoride (SF6) are all types of F-Gas. HFCs are the most common type of F-Gas and are mainly used as the refrigerant in air conditioning and commercial refrigeration systems. Therefore, all users of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment have responsibilities for the F-Gas they have in their mechanical heat pump or cooling and air to water heating systems.
Decommissioning of R22 Refrigerant
R22 Phase Out on Air Conditioning Systems.
From 31st December 2009 it was illegal to use virgin R22 refrigerant for service or maintenance of air conditioning systems. From 31st December 2014 it was illegal to use recycled R22R refrigerant for service or maintenance of air conditioning systems.
Stockpiling of new or recycled R22 will also be illegal and availability of the recycled refrigerant will therefore become more difficult. We can provide you with a complete design and replacement service to meet your specific needs.
